The story behind Illuminating Potential.
I'm a Dominican-American woman, a mother, a partner, a builder, a sound healer, and someone who spent a very long time believing those had to live in separate rooms.
I've spent two decades studying what helps people evolve. Some of that education happened in corporate leadership roles — building five organizations from scratch, leading global teams across four regions, reporting to the CIO at Twilio and Rackspace. Some of it happened in quieter places — on the yoga mat, in sound healing training, in the moments between meetings where I finally started listening to what my body had been trying to tell me.
What I realized: the most powerful transformations happen when we stop compartmentalizing. When we bring all of who we are — the strategic thinker AND the intuitive seeker, the ambitious builder AND the soul who needs rest — into our lives and our work. Not as separate roles. As one integrated person with a full story to tell.
My approach blends strategic thinking with energetic clarity and presence. Because transformation isn't just mental. It's embodied, environmental, and deeply personal.

A Note From Lara
Why I built this.
Here's the truth: I created this practice for myself first.
I spent 20 years building a career I was proud of — leading teams, scaling organizations, earning every credential I could find. I was good at it. But somewhere along the way, I started measuring my worth by what I could prove to others instead of what I knew to be true about myself.
I externalized my value. I chased validation. I brought pieces of myself to the table, but never the whole picture. Then came a moment that made me stop and ask: what if I just... brought all of it? The strategist and the healer. The executive and the mother. The builder and the seeker. Not as separate roles, but as one integrated person with a full story to tell.
Illuminating Potential® is what happened when I stopped performing and started integrating. It's coaching and consulting held together by one belief: the most powerful version of you isn't the one you prove. It's the one you embody.
I believe being a mother has made me a better coach. I believe my Caribbean roots taught me more about resilience than any leadership program. I believe that 20 years of reading org charts gave me pattern recognition, and that learning to listen to my body gave me the language for what those patterns actually mean.
